Elín Margot — Designer Researcher & Educator

Through the design of objects, events or experiences, Elín Margot creates situations that challenges the way things are now and gives a glimpse into what they could be.

She uses the narrative power of objects to confront the user to disruptive ideologies and immerse them in a potential tomorrow. She (re)design mundane things such as forks and knives with a behavioural and/or technological twist asking what if?

Food related stuff are her main medium as they are carriers of culture. They are the holistic result of human technology and beliefs as well as being the main day to day interaction with other-than-human beings.

Elín Margot focuses on leaving the audience thinking...
